Extremism has come down by 75 percent in northeast India: Rajnath Singh

Guwahati, August 21: The Union Minster for Home, Rajnath Singh, said that incidents of naxalism, terrorism and extremism have seen a downward trend in the last three years while speaking in the inaugural ceremony of the office cum residential complex of NIA at Lucknow.

“We will win over naxalism, terrorism and extremism. In the past three years, extremism has come down by 75 percent in the northeast and naxalism has come down by 35-40 percent” added.

He also appreciated NIA for their work against terrorism. Yogi Adityanath, who was also present at the event, suggested holding meetings every six months between the NIA and state agencies.
