Guwahati: The Guwahati police on Friday busted a big scam when it arrested one Usha Barman after raiding her home in Jyoti Nagar, Bamunimaidam.
The police team also seized Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) with a face value of Rs 21,500 (500 × 43 Nos) along with a so-called FICN printing machine.
According to police, accused Usha was also working in a beauty parlour in the Zoo Road area of the city and was staying as a tenant in the house of one Arif Hussain.
The police are also suspecting that a big racket is involved in smuggling and circulating the fake Indian currency notes (FICN) into the city.
Meanwhile, legal action will be initiated against the accused.
