    Fake RPF jawan arrested in Assam

    The ID cards were made by him at Malda town with the intent to earn easy money from the public

    GUWAHATI: A fake Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel was arrested from Barpeta road railway station on Monday.

    The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) sources said that the person identified as Ful Chan Ali from Dhubri district of Assam was initially nabbed by a patrolling unit of RPF from the railway station based on his suspicious movements.

    “During the course of enquiries, he revealed as he is RPF staff of New Bongaigaon and produced one fake RPF ID card. On further checking, another fake ID card issued in favour of him as Sub Inspector, Crime Branch, New Delhi by Indian State Police Ministry of Defence, New Delhi,” sources said.

    Later he admitted that both the above ID cards were made by him at Malda town with the intent to earn easy money from the public by acting as RPF staff in railways and as Sub Inspector in public.

    The said person was arrested handed over to GRP Barpeta Road under acknowledgment for further action after adopting all the formalities.
