New Delhi/Itanagar, December 30: First IPS officer from Arunachal Pradesh as been promoted as the Additional Director General of Police(ADGP), special commissioner of Delhi police on Friday.
Robin Hibu is a 1993 AGMUT cadre and was serving as IGP at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He is also the founder cum president of ‘Helping Hands’, a charitable organization catering to the needs of the North Eastern people living outside their state.
The IPS officer has said that with the promotion his childhood dream has come true.
“I dared to dream to wear the prestigious rank of DGP or General with shining National Emblem of Ashoka’s Lion along with crossed Baton and Sword on my both shoulders, which is the highest decoration of promotion for any IPS officer. My childhood dream has been fulfilled,” said Hibu.
The IPS officer further added that his rank promotion has been perilous but satisfying at the same time.
“Looking forward enthusiastically to give my best remaining 10 years of career as IPS officer for my country and for fellow distress folks specially youth from north eastern states in cities,” added Hibu.
