    Fun Turns Fatal: Girl Fell Into 80 Feet Deep Gorge In Tripura

    After hours of searching in the deep pool of water, the body was recovered almost after Sunday midnight

    Agartala: A 17 year old girl died on Sunday evening when she along with her friends went to visit the scenic waterfall of Sanaiya Riang Para in Kamalpur under Dhalai district, some 92 KMs away from Agartala.

    The deceased was identified as Bindulaxmi Debbarma alias Bubar and hailed from Lalchari area in the Longthorai valley subdivision in Tripura.

    According to her friends, she had slipped to a 80 feet deep gorge when tried to go near the waterfall to wash her clothes.

    “The team reached the spot in the late noon of Sunday. Then to wash off the dirt from her cloth, Bubar approached to the slippery stones for water denying the warning of her freinds. And then she slipped and fell almost 80 feet below,” the group members claimed.

    Immediately, they tried to search her but failed and then sought help from local people. Local inhabitants informed Kamalpur police station. Police contacted with fire service unit.

    After hours of searching in the deep pool of water, the body was recovered almost after Sunday midnight.

    Later the corpse was taken to the morgue of Kamalpur Bimal Sinha Memorial Hospital and police registered a case of unnatural death.
