Guwahati: In a significant development, Gauhati University and Tezpur University has made its name among the top 100 educational institutes on the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIFR) overall performance list.
The Gauhati University bagged the 67th position whereas Tezpur University has ranked itself in the 73rd position.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released the list of NIFR. Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan virtually announced the NIFR Rankings 2021.
Among the university ranking, Guwahati University and Tezpur University bagged the 45th and 46th position respectively. Assam University too bagged the 93rd position in the ranking list.
Among other popular educational institutes from the Northeast, the North Eastern Hill University has placed itself in the 90th rank.
Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of technology, Guwahati has also bagged two ranks in the NIFR list. The institute achieved 7th in engineering and 9th in research.
National Institute of Technology, Silchar managed to bag the 48th position. Indian Institute of Information and Technology was placed at the 73rd place.
Moreover, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Guwahati grabbed the 19th position in the Pharmacy ranking along with Dibrugarh University in 38th position.
National Law University and Judicial Academy bagged the 20th position in Law ranking.
