Gogoi also gave a brief sketch of Mahapurush Sankardeva’s life and the freedom fighters. “Swahid Kushal Konwar sacrificed his life at the prime of his youth for the cause of our country. His truthfulness, patriotism, morality and mental strength were unique. The present generation can take a leaf out of his life and emulate his patriotism and spirit of self-sacrifice,” he mentioned in the letter.

He has also mentioned about the lives of Kamala Miri and Chobibal Upadhyay who were prominent leaders in the Indian Freedom Movement from Assam and both of them were jailed in the Tezpur jail by the British rulers.
