Guwahati: Online shoppers from Assam have a reason to cheer, as India’s online store Flipkart now offers Assamese language services in the marketing of products.

Customers from Assam can now avail their choices of products in their own regional language.

Apart from English, the consumers can avail the e-commerce facility through Flipkart in 11 languages including Assamese.

The other Indian languages in which people can avail the online marketing facility through Flipkart include Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Odia, Malayalam, Gujarati and Punjabi.

Meanwhile, informing about the new development in the services of Flipkart, Assam Industry and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary took to his official Twitter handle saying, Glad to inform that @Flipkart now offers Assamese language services in marketing of products. This will enable the people of Assam to enjoy e-commerce in our own language.”
