Guwahati civic polls: Web-portal for public grievances redressal launched

Guwahati: The Kamrup Metro District Administration has launched a web-portal to ensure transparent and fair conduct of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) elections.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Election) Dr. Dhrubajyoti Hazarika on Friday officially launched the web portal kamrupmetro-pg.assam.gov.in at a meeting held in the conference room of the office of the Deputy Commissioner in Guwahati.

The Kamrup (M) admin in a press statement stated that citizens can register by logging in to this web portal and will be able to lodge their complaints and other issues, including violations of election rules etc in online mode.

On the other hand, by logging in to this portal, the complainant will be able to know the status of their grievance registered in the GMC Election Grievance Management System. The complainant may also attach a picture by mentioning the place etc. in their complaints, the district administration informed further.
