GUWAHATI: The price of domestic LPG cylinders was increased by Rs 50 on Saturday.
The 14.2 kg home cylinder will now cost Rs 999.50 per cylinder as of today, thanks to the recent revision.
With the latest revision, the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder will now cost Rs 1048.50 per cylinder as of today in Guwahati.
Domestic cooking gas prices were last raised on March 22 and the price of one LPG cylinder was Rs 998.50.
Meanwhile, the price of the 19.5 Kg commercial cylinder was raised by Rs 102.50 last week, however it has now been reduced by Rs 8. Its current price is Rs 2507.
In addition, the 5 kg refill will cost Rs 18.
This comes as retail inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (Combined), is expected to have risen to 7.7% in April, owing to higher food prices and the full pass-through effect of fuel price hikes, according to official.
