Guwahati: Former chief minister of Assam Prafulla Kumar Mahanta was hospitalised again after complaining of heart ailment.
Mahanta was rushed to a private hospital in the city after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. He is admitted in the ICU ward of the hospital.
However, the hospital authorities have not yet provided any information regarding his health issues.
Earlier in September, the ex-CM was admitted to the hospital after he suffered from a brain stroke. He was released from the hospital post recovery.
The 68-year-old Prafulla Mahanta is the Asom Gana Parisad (AGP) MLA from the Barhampur constituency in Assam’s Nagaon district.
