Guwahati: LGBI Airport organises COVID-19 vaccination camp
Guwahati: Amid huge surge in COVID-19 in Assam, the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport organised Covid vaccination camp at airport premises on Sunday.
The vaccination camp was organised in association with National Health Mission and was meant for the person 45 years and above.
It was also opened for all family members and for all the employees of Airport Authorities of India (AAI), airlines, agencies, frontline staffs and the stakeholders associated with the LGBI Airport in Guwahati.
More than 108 of the registered employees were vaccinated during the day.
Chief coordinator of the Covid vaccination camp Ganapati Das said, “We had invited all our stakeholders above the age of 45 years to register for COVID-19 vaccine and around 300 people have registered.”
“We are thankful to the state health officials and and NHM staff for their noble cause and their services during this pandemic,” he further added.
Meanwhile, Covid tests are regularly being conducted at the airport for all incoming passengers and special screening for the passengers coming from states where Covid cases are higher.
