Guwahati: In another major success against the drug menace, Guwahati police on Saturday seized 101 kg of marijuana from a truck in the Jorabat area, outskirts of the city.
The police team also arrested two persons in this connection.
Based on a specific, police team led by Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Joint Commissioner of Police intercepted a truck bearing Himachal Pradesh’s registration number in the Jorabat area, officially stated.
During thorough checking, at least 101 kg of marijuana recovered from the truck
As per sources, the truck was coming from Tripura and going to North India.
However, the market value of the seized marijuana is estimated at around Rs 1 crore, sources added.
