Guwahati: ‘Puchka’ vendor arrested for adding urine in the water
Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a puchka vendor was arrested for allegedly mixing his urine with water that is used for washing dishes in the roadside stall.
A video went viral on social media where he was apparently seen urinating in a mug and used the same utensil to wash the dishes.
The Guwahati police took cognizance of the matter after the video was brought to their notice. The accused was arrested by Bharalumukh police.
the accused was identified as Akrul Sahini (60), a resident of the Bhootnath area. As per police officials, he is a sattu seller
The video was released around 7-8 days back on social media, which have been shared rapidly. The incident created a uproar amongst netizens who questioned the safety practises of food vendors.
Reportedly, the vendor’s stall is set up in Athgaon area in Guwahati. The matter is being investigated.
