Guwahati: Good news for cricket lovers as Guwahati to start the New Year with a bang. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has scheduled the first one-day international (ODI) match between India and Sri Lanka at Assam Cricket Association (ACA) stadium at Barsapara here on January 10, 2023.
However, the date for selling tickets for the match was yet to be announced.
Following the conclusion of the ongoing away series against Bangladesh, the Indian team will take part in three back-to-back home assignments and will host the likes of Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia.
The Indian team will first play three T20Is and as many ODIs against Sri Lanka and then host New Zealand for three ODIs and three T20Is.
Then India will shift its focus to Test cricket and will host Australia in a four-match Test series.
In 2017, India last hosted a Border-Gavaskar series. The red ball battle will start on February 9 and continue till March 13.
