    Guwahati: Two members of Irani Gang arrested

    The accused identified as Pinto Gowala (34) and Rupchand Sing (36), both hailed from West Bengal and were arrested after a chase by Dispur police.

    Guwahati: The city police on Monday arrested two notorious members of the Irani Gang in connection with snatching of cash in front of Banks.

    The accused identified as Pinto Gowala (34) and Rupchand Sing (36), both hailed from West Bengal and were arrested after a chase by Dispur police from Barbari to Zoo Road, Punjab National bank.

    Speaking to TIME8, Dispur ACP Himangshu Prasad Das said, “We received a tip from our sources regarding the two member of the Irani Gang and on the basis of the tip we conducted an investigation and arrested the two members.”

    A huge gang of Irani Group, notorious for their looting and robbery activities, has been creating havoc in many places across the country. The said group has now reached Guwahati and started looting people.
