    Guwahati: Waiter at AB’s gets accolades for his dance moves

    Surajit works as a waiter in Guwahati city’s ‘Absolut Barbecues’ (AB’s) and when he has the time, he mesmerizes customers with his dance moves.

    Guwahati: A dance moves video of a 23-year-old Tripura native, Surajit, has gone viral on the internet and is the talk of the town for his eye-catching moves.

    Surajit works as a waiter in Guwahati city’s ‘Absolut Barbecues’ (AB’s) and when he has the time, he mesmerizes customers with his dance moves.

    Hailing from Tripura, Surajit has been working in Guwahati since some time and idolizes popular dancer Raghav Juyal who has recently shared Surajit’s dance video on Instagram.

    Expressing his joy on becoming the latest internet sensation, Surajit said: “I feel overwhelmed the way guests and staff at AB’s treat me. It is not less than a dream to see guests talking so nicely to me, ask me to dance with them and even take selfies with me.”

    “I never thought I would ever get recognition from my idol Raghav Juyal, but when he shared my video on his Instagram status, that moment made my day. This gesture has encouraged me even more to take my passion seriously so that one day I share the same stage with Raghav sir,” Surajit added.

    A dance aspirant, Surajit comes from Saboom in Tripura where he completed his higher secondary from Brajendra Nagar Higher Secondary School. Dance videos on YouTube attracted him from childhood, from where he started to dance and following Raghav Juyal’s dance moves.

    He joined Absolute Barbecues restaurant in Guwahati for livelihood where his talent was observed by the management and encouraged to pursue his passion.

    “When we came to know about Surajit’s dancing talent, we encouraged him to dance during staff parties and also in front of the guests at the restaurant. Soon his dance become so popular that guest visited our restaurant just to see his dance. One of them made a video when Surajit was dancing which now has gone viral,” said Utpal Das, Cluster Manger at AB’s.
