Guwahati: A woman died after being repeatedly thrashed by a man in Guwahati’s Fatasil Ambari area on Sunday.

The horrific incident took place in Raghunath Path in the area.

As per sources, the man brutally beat up the woman, after which she succumbed to her injuries.

The deceased woman was identified as Maina Bodo, while the accused was identified as Nizam Ali.

However, police are yet to apprehend him. Meanwhile, the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.

Further investigation is underway.
