Guwahati, March 11, 2019

Police have intensified security measures after an unidentified man and woman entered and left behind a hand grenade, wrapped as a gift inside a biscuit packet, at the office of Manipur People’s Party (MPP) near Polo Ground in Imphal.

MPP’s general secretary (administration) H Geetajen said that an unknown man and a woman entered his office around 4:30 pm on March 8th, 2019, and placed a carry bag on his table warning that it contains a bomb.

Soon after the individuals left, Geetajen intimated the police about the bomb. A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the office. The squad retrieved the bomb from the office campus and dispose of in a safe place.
