French restaurant chef Daniel Boulud has been adjudged the best restauranter in the world. The 65-old Parisian was given this award by Les Grandes Taubles, which is the world’s apex restaurant body. The master chef has been in the trade for the last four decades.

Boulud’s expertise is making French delicacies using American ingredients—an art which he has mastered  over the last one decade. In fact, such was his love for Americans, that he migrated to  New York in the early 80’s and opened a series of top end French restaurants there.

“It’s a great honour to be conferred with this award. Right now, I can’t quite express my feelings after getting this award. All I can is that I am quite overwhelmed at this,” Boulud said.
