    Here’s How You Can Donate For Assam Flood Relief Efforts

    Guwahati: The torrential rains in Assam have affected more than five million people and over six million animals taking the death toll to 36, as per Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA)’s flood bulletin.

    A total of 4,128 villages were affected as on July 18th, 2019 according to the ASDMA’s daily flood bulletin. More than 2 lakh people are taking shelter in 689 relief camps spread across the state.

    Amid the devastation, common man including bureaucrats, politicians, Bollywood celebs across the country have shown great concern and announced for contribution via crowdfunding to the Flood Relief Funds.

    As there are a number of platforms available for contributions, here’s how you can do your bit:

    Chief Minister’s Relief Fund: Assam government has made a platform for the people calling for crowdfunding to help flood victims. Donate here.

    PayTM: The Indian e-commerce payment system and digital wallet company have options available in their application and website to contribute to the flood relief efforts. Donate here.

    Milaap: One of the largest crowdfunding website, Milaap also has offered help via platform for the people to donate money. Donate here.

    GOONJ: Goonj, a non-governmental organisation headquartered in Delhi known for undertaking disaster relief, humanitarian aid and community is offering both monetary and non-monetary help to the victims. Donate here.

    Wildlife Trust of India: As the Assam deluge has left stranded more than 6 million animals, rescue operations are going on in full swing at the Kaziranga. The WTI has made arrangements for the contribution. Donate here.
