High drama on Ghy Roads, scuffle between traffic police and former Arunachal Minister

Guwahati, December 5: Former Arunachal Minister Takar Marde was seen in a verbal clash with a traffic police officer near Ganeshguri on Tuesday after his vehicle was parked in a no-parking zone in the area.

Sources said that on Tuesday, Takar Marde’s Hyundai Verna bearing registration AS-12J-6666 was parked at a no parking zone following with a traffic official asked him to park his vehicle somewhere else but he refused to do so allegedly pushed the traffic officer. Following the incident, the former Minister and the traffic officer was seen to be caught up in a verbal fight in the middle of the road.

The traffic police officer even claimed that he would file a defamation case against Marde as he felt insulted because of the former minister’s act. He (the traffic police officer) claimed that the former minister had pushed him during his duty time which is termed as an offense.

Marde was later arrested and was sent to judicial custody.
