Guwahati: Mocking at the Congress party and its ongoing campaign “Axom Basaon Ahok”, Assam Cabinet Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared a picture in his Twitter handle claiming the Official Congress campaign page is using a photo of tea garden from Taiwan to say “Assam Bachao”.
Himanta took to Twitter saying, “Official Congress campaign page is using photo of tea garden from Taiwan to say “Assam Bachao”. Congress leaders can’t even recognize Assam? This is an insult of Assam and Tea Garden workers of our state.”
Earlier, Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday mocked New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi by addressing them as visitors to the state.
Taking a jibe at the oppositions, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “It is the best time to create a tourism environment in Assam as it is the only state in India where one can visit without wearing mask.”
The minister also welcomed Kejriwal with folded hands and invited him to visit places such as Kamakhya Temple, Majuli, the mighty Brahmaputra and other such places of scenic beauty in Assam.
It is to be noted that ahead the 2021 Assembly polls, the Congress launched “Axom Basaon Ahok” campaign via bus yatra in poll bound Assam.
