    Holi Special Train Between Guwahati and Kolkata Announced

    GUWAHATI: To clear the extra rush of passengers during the ensuing Holi festival, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run one special train between Kolkata and Guwahati stations.

    The train will run for one trip each from Kolkata and Guwahati stations.

    It has also been decided to extend the service of MEMU passenger special train running between Sonpur and Katihar till further advice.   

    The Kolkata – Guwahati Holi Special will run on March 26 (Friday) leaving Kolkata at 21-40 hours to reach Guwahati at 18-30 hours on the next day.

    In the return direction, Guwahati – Kolkata Holi Special will run on March 27 (Saturday) leaving Guwahati at 21-00 hours to reach Kolkata at 20-20 hours on the next day.

    The train will have AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, sleeper class and second class accommodation for passengers.

    On the other hand, services of Sonpur – Katihar – Sonpur MEMU passenger special train, running between Katihar and Sonpur have been extended with existing stoppages, timings and days of run from April 1 till further advice.

    The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available on Railway’s website, said Subhanan Chanda, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR.
