Guwahati: Shocking revelations are coming out one after the other in the paper leak case of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination in Assam.
On Tuesday, yet another incident of the paper leak has come to the light after an HSLC candidate from the Dhemaji district claimed that he received the question paper for Mathematics subject three days prior to the exam.
The student said, “Three days before to the exam, I received the Mathematics question paper through a WhatsApp group named ‘Friends’. There was a total of seven boys in the group. They forwarded me the question paper. I am unknown how they got my number.”
He further added that a later group was deleted after he revived the question paper and the question paper consisting of questions no 6 to 21, overall, of 50 marks.
A few boys were from Lakhimpur and Bokulguri and a few others I’m not aware, the student added.
Meanwhile, the Mathematics exam was held on March 6.
So far 22 persons have been detained in various parts of the state in connection to the leakage of the question paper of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination of the General Science subject.
Assam Director General of Police (DGP) G.P. Singh informed that the arrests have been made in Guwahati, North Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Sadiya, Dibrugarh, and Tinsukia.
