HSLC question papers to include 50% objective questions from 2023, says SEBA

Guwahati: In line with the new Education Policy (NEP) the Secondary Examination Board, Assam (SEBA) made an important announcement on Wednesday about the Secondary School Leaving Examination (HSLC).

According to reports, the question paper for the HSLC examination will be revised. The question paper of 100 marks will have 45 marks objective questions in four subjects.

The four subjects are English, General Science, General Maths and Social Science.

This will come into effect from the upcoming 2023 HSLC examination.

SEBA has further informed that the first 50% of questions (i.e. 45 questions) will contain objective-type questions (very short question – 01mark each) and for the rest of 50%, there will internal assessment of 10 marks and a mixture of two or three marks each for rest 45 marks questions.
