Agartala, January 2: After Rajdhani Express, Tripura is going to connect now with southern part of India. The people of the state got Humsafar Express as a gift of New Year.
The Kamakhya-Bangalore Humsafar Express, which now extended up to Agartala is scheduled to flagged off on January 4 from Agartala Station by Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohai. The train already arrived in the station on Monday night comprising 14 coaches. It will start towards Bangalore Cantonment from Agartala once in a week.
The train has 11 air conditioned Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches with features like LED screens to show information about stations, and train speed, One Pantry car and hot buffer and two parcel and generator van.
There will be seven stops for the train between Agartala and Guwahati.
