Mohilary was holding the rally for the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) candidate Pramila Rani Brahma. Locals of the area said that they went to the meeting area just to witness the helicopter.

On the other hand, the Hailakandi district administration has asked the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) to take appropriate action against Oxford School for sending minor school students in uniform to a political rally at Panchgram.

In a letter to the Secretary, SEBA on April 12th, 2019, Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer, Keerthi Jalli said the school authorities sent a large number of minor students to the Congress rally at Intake Field on April 9th, 2019 during school hours in gross violation of the Model Code of Conduct and Representation of People’s Act, 1951.
