IIT Guwahati students voice opposition against Citizenship Bill

Guwahati, January 11: Along with the rest of the state staging massive agitation against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, the students of Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Guwahati too have raised their voice against the passage of the contentious Bill.
The students body covered their mouths with a black cloth and staged a sit-in demonstration in-front of the main entrance of institution holding placards and banners.
It may be mentioned that Assam is witnessing a massive agitation against the Centre’s proposed controversial Citizenship Bill.
Several students body belonging to different colleges and universities have been protesting against the Bill.
The Cotton University Students’ Union (CUSU) have boycotted their classes for an indefinite period in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
