With the state political scenario heating up over the pre-Lok Sabha poll alliance between Asom Gana Parishad and Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress leader MGVK Bhanu was seen in high spirits as he posed with the locals in Biswanath’s Bihali for selfies on March 13th, 2019.
Armed with their hi-tech mobile phones, the locals jostled and outsmarted each other to get their selfies clicked with Bhanu. Bhanu, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, was also seen in a joyous mood as he interacted with the people after attending an election-related meeting.
“I have visited a number of villages. The wind is blowing in favour of Congress…people have given me so much love. The results of Lok Sabha elections will speak for itself,” he told media persons.
It may be mentioned that Bhanu, retired IAS officer and former additional chief secretary to the Assam government, has been expressing his wish to contest from Tezpur.
