This year, State’s capital Guwahati will celebrate the 74th year of freedom at the historic Judge Field as the playground of College of Veterinary Science at Khanapara has been converted into a COVID Care Centre.

Notably, both the occasions; Independence Day and Republic Day had been celebrated at the historic Judge Field since 1947. However, the state government shifted celebrations of both the mega-events to the playground of College of Veterinary Science at Khanapara in 2008 reserving Judge Field exclusively for sporting activities.
