The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on November 27th, 2019 successfully launched its PSLV-C47 carrying CARTOSAT-3 and 13 nano-satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.
The 44.4 metre tall, weighing around 320 ton rocket lifted off from the second launch pad at around 9:20 am. All the 13 commercial satellites from USA were successfully placed in their designated orbits the space agency Twitted.
The space agency yesterday took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the countdown ahead of the launch of the satellite.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter and congratulated the team for the successful launch of the satellite. “I heartily congratulate the entire @isro team on yet another successful launch of PSLV-C47 carrying indigenous Cartosat-3 satellite and over a dozen nanosatellites of USA.”
