“It boosts immunity, energy, and positivity”: CM Sarma on International Yoga Day
GUWAHATI: On International Yoga Day, Assam’s chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma joined a yoga session along with ministers and MLAs at the peaceful campus of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) at Gerukamukh in Dhemaji district on Monday.
CM Sarma said amidst the Covid pandemic, Yoga is India’s priceless gift to the world. It helps in boosting immunity, provide energy and positivity, mentioned CM Sarma on Twitter.
Mentioning the name of prime minister Narendra Modi, CM Sarma extended a hand of gratitude to him for delivering the message of yoga to the world.
In addition, CM Sarma focused on the significance of yoga and asked everyone to make it a vital part of our daily lives. “Along with ensuring good health, it helps us attain good mental health as well. It gives us peace & contributes to the making of a good society”, he tweeted.
He paid emphasis on today’s youth and asked them to embrace yoga and garner its benefits. Furthermore, he mentioned, “Some of our youth, who are under the bad influence of drugs, should also embrace yoga.” Yoga centers have been established in development blocks all over the state.
