Jagun Blast: Tinsukia Admin hands over ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh to kin of Suraj Hajong
Guwahati: The Tinsukia District Administration on Thursday granted an ex-gratia of Rs. 3 lakh to Dipali Hajong, the mother of deceased Suraj Hajong who was killed in a Grenade Blast on May 11 near Kotha Adarsha Gaon, within the Jagun Police Station, Margherita Sub-division.
Samprity Goswami, ADC incharge Margherita, S Chutia, Circle Officer, Margherita along with Anand Kumar Sharma (MLA representative) and Bhabesh Dutta, Social worker provided the cheque to the grieving mother.
It is to be noted that the deceased was only fourteen years old and the incident happened when he along with one of his friends were heading towards the Buridehing river at around 8:30 am for taking a bath.
Though he was rushed to the Margherita Civil Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries, as per the Police reports.
