    Japanese Encephalitis: 4 Fresh Deaths Reported, Toll Climbs Up To 132 In Assam

    Guwahati: The deadly Japanese Encephalitis has claimed four more lives in Assam on July 31st, 2019. As per official data, a total of six positive cases were reported.

    The death cases reported from Baksa, Dhubri, Kokrajhar and Sontipur district of Assam.

    The death toll climbed up to 132 and the positive cases tally climbed up to 573 so far, as per official data.

    Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had announced that financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be provided by the Assam government to the patients who will undergo treatment in private nursing homes.
