Guwahati: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Friday released its candidates’ list for Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Election (KAAC) 2022 to be held on June 8.

Elections will be held in all 26 council constituencies of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts. The date of counting is scheduled for June 12, 2022.

Out of the 26, four candidates are yet to be announced by APCC.

The last date for the nominations is May 23, 2022, while scrutiny of nominations is on May 24, 2022.

The last date for withdrawal of candidature is on May 24, 2022.

There are a total of 70,32,98 voters, of which males are 35,55,03 and females are 34,77,90 and the third gender is 5.

Total polling stations for the KAAC election will be around 906.

Notably, the last KAAC election was held on June 17, 2017, and the council was constituted on July 3 the same year.
