    Kamrup Administration To Take Action Against People, Orgs Involved In Forceful Fund Collection For Flood Relief

    Guwahati, July 24, 2019

    The Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner (DC) Biswajit Pegu on July 24th, 2019, said the district administration will take stringent action against the people or organisations who are found involved in forceful collection of funds in the name of flood relief.

    “The Kamrup (M) administration has received complaints about such forced collection by a section of people and organizations in the name of flood relief. The administration will take stringent action against any person or organization if found involved in collecting fund from people forcefully,” a press communiqué stated.

    It may be mentioned that many non-governmental organizations and other groups are collecting fund for the flood relief in the city, particularly for the last few days.

    However, celebrities from Bollywood, Assam film fraternity, politicians and civilians have donated in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
