The Kamrup (M) district administration seized 25 vehicles for collecting excess fare in Guwahati

Guwahati: A total of 25 vehicles were seized and 47 nos of offence cases has been registered at Ganeshguri, Guwahati by the Kamrup (metro) district administration on Wednesday.

The Kamrup metro district administration conducted an enforcement drive against public passenger vehicles at Ganeshguri.

The drive was allegedly carried out to collect additional charges from passengers.

Taking to the twitter, the official account of Kamrup (metro) district administration wrote, “As per order by Kamrup Metro District Administration, an enforcement drive against public passenger vehicles (City Bus & Magic) was conducted today at Ganeshguri for alleged collection of excess fare. 25 vehicles were seized and 47 nos of cases were registered during this drive.”

On Tuesday also Kamrup (M) district administration conducted a drive against public passenger vehicles at Lokhra Road, Lal Ganesh in Guwahati for allegedly collecting excess fare from passengers.

During the drive, a total of 41 vehicles have been seized and 67 nos of offence cases have been registered.

“As per direction of DC Kamrup (M), an enforcement drive against public passenger vehicles (City Bus, Magic, Diesel Tempo and E-Rickshaw) was conducted today for alleged collection of excess fare from passengers and illegally plying on the road at Lokhra Road, Lal Ganesh”, Kamrup (metro) district administration tweeted.
