    Kamrup Metro DC Urges Private Doctors To Join Fight Against COVID-19

    Remuneration will be provided to the doctors as per norms of NHM

    The Kamrup Metropolitan district administration appeal to all the medical professionals especially the doctors working in different private hospitals and nursing homes to come forward and register their names to provide treatment in the COVID Care Centre (CCC) and Dedicated Covid Health Centre (DCHC).

    The administration in a statement said, “As per Guidelines issued by Ministry of Health & Family W

    elfare, Government of India, a three-tier hospital infrastructure needs to be put in place for treatment of COVID 19 suspected cases in different Covid Care Centre (CCC) and Dedicated Covid Health Centre (DCHC).”

    It added that whereas, a series of measures have been taken by both the central and state government to break the chain of transmission, most importantly to isolate all suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19 and to ensure optimal utilization of available resources as per the guidelines issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department (Assam), the administration has opened up COVID Care Centres and Dedicated Covid Health Centres at different locations.

    The District Administration added that it has taken “this opportunity” to appeal to all the medical professionals especially the doctors working in different private hospitals and nursing homes to come forward and register their names to provide treatment in CCCs and DHCS. “Remuneration will be provided to the doctors as per norms of NHM. Accordingly, the nurses and other staffs will be paid as per the norms of NHM”, it added.

    The administration further stated that all the interested persons can submit their willingness along with their details through WhatsApp (No. 9435197170) by May 10th, 2020.
