Guwahati: Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen, who is also known for his rhino conservation activities, applauded Assam police for their work on defending the Rhino from poaching in the state.
Pieterson took Twitter to and praised all for their hard work. He wrote: “AMAZING!!! India is a conservation leader. This is just spectacular and I’m glad I got to experience Assam and wonderful people who so hard to defend their animals. So proud of you all! RESPECT!”
Earlier, Nagaon Police took twitter to announce that they have ensured zero Rhino poaching incident for the second consecutive year in 2020. And all the people who worked hard to protect the pride of Assam were felicitated.
Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta assured the ex-England cricketer Pietersen of continuing to keep those beautiful animals absolutely safe.
Last year, a documentary called ‘Save This Rhino – India’ featured Kevin Pietersen which focused on rhino conservation activities in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park.
The documentary was featured on the National geographic Channel on September 22, 2020.
Pietersen arrived in Kaziranga National Park on March 4, 2021, to work on the documentary, where he was seen to be quit at home.
During the shoot, he shared many pictures of his experience in the Kaziranga region, winning applause from locals for his raising awareness on rhino conservation.
