The countdown for the official release of National award-winning filmmaker Pradip Kurbah’s Iewduh has started as the movie is all set to hit the theatres on November 15th, 2019 in Meghalaya.
Apart from Meghalaya, the film will be released in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
The dates were announced in the film’s official Facebook page along with the schedule of the movie’s show timings at the Busan International Film Festival, 2019. Iewduh will have its world premiere in the Busan film festival ahead of its Indian premiere which will be at the Mumbai Film Festival.
Iewduh portrays the lives of everyday people with everyday stories, not dignified as heroes, but nevertheless people who make the lives of each other better. Shot entirely in Shillong city of Meghalaya, it shows the crowded, bustling local market called lewduh. It completely reflects the lifestyle of the people in the congested lanes where life is all about making a living for oneself.
The cast of the movie includes Lala Yomeca, Denver Pariat, Albert Mawrie and many more. The movie is produced by Shankar Lall Goenka and the trailer was released on September 9th, 2019 on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the dates on which Iewduh will be screened at the Busan International Film Festival 2019 are:
- October 5th, 2019 at the CGV Centum City 5
- October 8th, 2019 at the Lotte Cinema Centum City 6
- October 9th, 2019 at the MEGABOX Jangsan Haeundae 5
Busan International Film Festival is annually held in Busan, South Korea and it is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. This year it is the festival’s 24th edition and it will start from October 3rd, 2019 and it will conclude on October 12th, 2019.
Notably, Kurbah’s National Award Winning film Khasi film, Onaatah-of the earth will be re-made in Marathi by director, actor and theatre artiste Satish Kaushik. The movie will hit the theatres on October 11th, 2019 and it is named as Mann Udhan Vaara.
