Like it or not? Kamrup Metro admin makes hand-stamp mandatory after COVID-19 tests

The administration has emphasized COVID testing for e-commerce employees and OLA/UBER drivers

Guwahati: Despite all efforts from the Kamrup metro administration, the COVID situation in the district hasn’t been normalized yet.

Thus, in order to break the chain of infection, the district administration has come up with some special measures for the next 10 days.

The Kamrup Metro administration has decided that from now onwards, all people undergoing RT-PCR tests will be stamped on their hands. They will have to stay back at their homes until their test results are out.

Also, the administration has emphasized COVID testing for e-commerce employees and OLA/UBER drivers.

An awareness meeting on COVID-19 will be conducted with the members of the Lane-Bylane Samiti, Apartment’s Society, Citizens’ Association, etc. in six COVID hot spot zones of the Kamrup metro district.

Meanwhile, the Assam government on Friday announced that its earlier order of exempting people with complete vaccination from Covid screening at airports and railway stations has been “withdrawn” and such clinical examinations at these places will continue.
