Like Kerala, Meghalaya to promote tourism through Ayush, organise festival

Shillong, October 8: On the similar lines like Kerala, the Meghalaya Government would now try to promote tourism through Ayush treatment.

State Health and Family Welfare Minister AL Hek took up the issue with the Kerala Government during his recent visit to the coastal state. He said that many people in Meghalaya have now started going to the Ayush doctors and clinics.

“The State Government would like to take up Ayush treatment in a big way like Kerala which would also attract tourists,” he said.

Hek during his visit to Kerala also met the Union Minister of State for Tourism, KJ Alphonse. The idea to organise a Megha festival in the state to promote tourism has also been discussed.
