    Logo, Mascot Of Khelo India To Be Launched In Guwahati On Nov 30

    The 12-day game will kick start from January 18th, 2020

    Ahead of the much anticipated third edition of Khelo India Youth Games 2020, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed the preparations with senior officials at Janata Bhawan.

    The 12-day game will be organized in partnership with the Indian School Games Federation of India (SGFI), Indian Olympic Association (IOA), and Assam as host State. The event is about to kick start from January 18th and continue till on January 30th, 2020.

    As per reports, the mascot, logo and theme song will be launched in Guwahati on November 30th, 2019 and Sonowal took stock of the preparedness of the Assam contingent from the respective sports organizations. The Assam contingent will comprise of 20 disciplines.

    The Chief Minister also directed all the concerned authorities to give all the logistic support including professional coaches to all the athletes participating in the event. He directed the all sports associations to submit the names of all the nodal officers appointed to look after the preparations of the athletes.

    It may be mentioned that the Khelo India Youth Games is a Government of India initiative to strengthen the sports ecosystem by encouraging mass participation and promotion of excellence.
