Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Anil Borgohain Takes Jibe At AGP-BJP; Confident Of Congress’ Win

Congressman Anil Borgohain, who has got a ticket to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha election from Lakhimpur parliamentary constituency, on March 19th, 2019 slammed the regional political party Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that both the parties are expert in showing off.

“Both BJP and AGP are expert in showing off. But, unfortunately, the parties are not committed to fulfilling its promises,” Borgohain said speaking to media persons at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI Airport).

Besides, Borgohain said that the pre-poll alliance of the BJP and the AGP is not a threat to the Congress as the party has confidence in the people of the state. “People of the state have witnessed the five years of the BJP rule and have moved towards the Congress,” Borgohain added.

Hundreds of party workers offered a warm welcome to Borgohain at the LGBI Airport on the afternoon of March 19th, 2019.

Expressing hope for an impressive performance of the Congress in the ensuing general election, Borgohain said, “Congress will definitely perform well across the state as well as the nation. The burning issues including flood and erosion are the prime issues; Congress has focused on to put forward a solution.”
