Lok Sabha Elections: Amit Shah’s Road Show In West Bengal Faces Wrath Outside Calcutta University

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s president Amit Shah’s road-show in West Bengal, where the Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was also present, on May 14th, 2019 faced wrath outside the Calcutta University.

As per information, sticks were thrown at the BJP president’s vehicles. Police resorted lathi-charge to prevent the situation from going out-of-control.

Calcutta University students also shouted slogans against Shah including “Shah Go back”, “Chowkidar Chor Hai” etc.

The protesters also waved black flags in protest against the BJP president’s visit.

Protestors also set fire on several vehicles in-front-of Vidyasagar College. The BJP alleged that the Trinamool Congress was behind the violence.
