Lord Ram to unite the world: PM Modi

Chanting ‘Jai Siyaram’ in between his speech, Modi said, “People from across the world will visit the grand Ram Mandir to witness Lord Shri Ram and mother Janaki. As such, it will connect India with the rest of the world.”

GUWAHATI: Addressing the people of the country after performing the bhoomi pujan at Ram Janambhoomi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that Lord Ram will unite the world as the grand Ram Mandir will bridge the countries from across the globe.

Chanting ‘Jai Siyaram’ in between his speech, Modi said, “People from across the world will visit the grand Ram Mandir to witness Lord Shri Ram and mother Janaki. As such, it will connect India with the rest of the world.”

The Prime Minister stressed that the Mandir will also change the entire economy of Ayodhya.

Stating that the entire country was trilled and enlightened because of the bhoomi pujan, he said, “Many have sacrificed for reviving this grand temple. This moment has come because of their sacrifice, tireless efforts and determination. Finally, years of waiting has ended today.”

Modi further said, “The principle of Lord Shri Ram is the foundation of the great Indian culture. Ram Mandir will stand tall and a symbol of Indian philosophy. It will now bridge India’s past and the present.”

He also said, “Ram has represented the great Indian culture for 1000 years. Gandhi too dreamt of Ram Jajya on the basis of the core principles of Ram. Ram has taught us to remain united beyond diversity.”

The Prime Minister added, “Despite efforts to eradicate Lord Ram’s existence he still lives in our heart and is basis of our culture. I believe that this grand Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya, like the name of Shri Ram, will reflect the rich heritage of Indian culture.”

Expressing pleasure during the occasion, Assam’s Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Blessed to join millions in witnessing the sacred Bhoomi Pujan of Shri Ram Janambhoomi Mandir by PM Narendra Modi in Ayodhya, a historic moment that will resonate for centuries.”

State’s health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also shared his pleasure and said, “Till eternity, the Ram Mandhir in Ayodhya will stand tall as a symbol of faith, peace, harmony, and brotherhood.”
