    LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked Upto Rs 149 In Metro Cities From Today

    This is the sixth hike in the prices of the cooking gas cylinders in the past few months

    State-owned oil marketing companies have sharply increased the prices of non-subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in all metro cities from February 12th, 2020.

    This is the sixth hike in the prices of the cooking gas cylinders in the past few months. The last hike was made on January 1st, 2020 with over Rs 19 per cylinder.

    In Delhi, the prices of LPG cylinders have been revised with Rs 144.50. From now, per cylinder will be sold at Rs 858.50 in the capital city. In Kolkata, the price rose at Rs 149 and is now at Rs 896. In Mumbai, the price of 14 kg Indane gas is at Rs 829.50, with Rs 145 rise. In Chennai, the price of LPG gas cylinder is at Rs 881.00, which is an increase of Rs 147.

    It may be mentioned that the fuel retailers revise the prices of LPG cylinders every month depending on the fluctuation in the international benchmark of the LPG rate and foreign exchange rate.

    The central government provides 12 cylinders per year on subsidised rates to each household.
