Manipur: 70,000 suspected WY Tablets seized; One held

Guwahati: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) PS on Saturday nabbed a person with suspected WY Tablets in Manipur’s Imphal West.

The person has been identified as Henjakhup Kipgen, a resident of the Kangpokpi district.

The man was held at Canchipur, Imphal West along the national highway.

During the search operation, the team recovered 70,000 suspected WY Tablets weighing 7.981 kgs.

Kipgen had hidden the tablets inside his car, said the official.

According to official, the preliminary investigation revealed that the drugs were procured from Moreh in the Manipur Myanmar border and it was meant to be transported to other states.
