Guwahati: The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Wednesday seized around 700 grams of Morphine worth Rs 70 lakh from Rajdhani express amid an ongoing crackdown on the trafficking and smuggling of drugs and narcotics substances at the Guwahati railway station.

The GRP and RPF under the aegis of GRP official Prasenjit Das also seized 200 bundles of foreign-origin cigarettes during the operation.

A total of three smugglers have been arrested, two of them for smuggling morphine and another in possession of cigarettes.
